sadly my parents didn’t make any photos of me sitting in front of it :(
First computer no pictures
I diligently saved and finally got one of the first Sinclairs. Several months later it was stolen. We were heartbroken. But then my Dad and Mom gave us an Apple//e for Christmas. The boys and I were ecstatic. Pictures? Ten years later it went to college with my son and burned up in a frat fire, but not before many young men also used it for term papers.
Just looking back at old stuff and realizing my Mom paid more for my First “computer” than I paid for our most recent laptop.
I built an Altair from a kit plus a number of a number of add-on kits c.1974. A printer was scrounged, as was a keyboard. Altair BASIC was witten by Bill Gates. My kids were the first to have a computer at home - one is now an IT professional. I bought my first Apple as a new Apple Dealer in 1979 - fullboat business system, 48k Apple ][ Plus, 9” Sanyo monitor, 2 drives, a Malibu dot matrix printer and interface card went out for about $5,000 - and knocked off (thanks to VisiCalc) a $50,000 PDP mini in a hightech company.
My First Computer MSX
I don’t have picture with my first computer with me, but put a picture … I had it in 1986 .. I was 12 .. I loved it and used cassettes to load the game .. It took about 10 minutes to load and sometimes prayed that worked. kkkkkkk
